Job summary

Shift Technology in Paris is seeking a Data & AI Engineer Intern to join the Data & AI Engineering team. You will collaborate with Data, Software, and ML/AI Engineers to tackle technical challenges and impact insurance products.

You will work across architecture design, feature integration, and production deployments, while learning from experienced AI researchers. The role requires strong Python and OOP skills, and starts around February 2027 under a 6-month internship agreement.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree in Computer Science, ML, AI, or Big Data.
• Strong Python and Object-Oriented Programming skills; exposure to C#, Java or C++ is a plus.
• Deep technical curiosity with hands-on interest in modern AI paradigms and ML evaluation.
• Strong engineering mindset, code quality, and system design focus.
• Able to provide a 6-month internship agreement starting around February 2027.
• English fluency is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Understand the business problem with clients, product teams, and domain experts.
• Explore state-of-the-art approaches and identify effective solutions.
• Design solutions with Architects and AI Research Lab.
• Build and integrate features within a cross-functional squad.
• Evaluate performance, accuracy, and latency.
• Deploy features into production with forward-deployed data scientists.
