Dormont Manufacturing Co is seeking a surgical technologist to join our operating room team. The candidate will assist in aseptic technique, prepare instruments, and support the Registered Nurse circulator during procedures.

The role requires completion of an accredited surgical technology program or military training, BLS, and at least 5 years OR experience in specialized areas. You will monitor sterilization, help with room turnover, and participate in policy development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Surgical Technology program or military training equivalent.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsabilités

• Master aseptic technique and apply it in procedures.
• Assist in preparing supplies and instruments before, during, and after surgery.
• Clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization.
• Assist the RN circulator in patient prep, assembly of supplies, and room turnover.
• Assigned to specialized procedures: neurosurgery, spine, cardiothoracic, vascular, complex ortho, robotics.
• Perform duties per department policy and procedure.
• Monitor sterility of supplies and document charges accurately.
• Document sterilization activities and processes.
• Attend in-services and contribute to Performance Improvement.
• Participate in education to increase competency and meet goals.
• Assist in policy development and act as a clinical resource.
