Job summary

Commvault is seeking a Corporate Counsel to support its UK and France operations from its legal department. The role focuses on day-to-day contract work, software licensing, SaaS agreements and data privacy issues across the EMEA region.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in a similar role, a legal or commercial degree, and proven negotiation and client-management skills. This is a remote-friendly, international position with global governance exposure.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of post-educational professional experience in a similar contract/legal role within an international commercial in-house environment.
• Legal or commercial degree as educational background.
• Excellent negotiation skills, with emphasis on software licensing and SaaS contracts.
• Team player with good client management skills and a track record of success in a fast-paced, client-facing role.
• Be comfortable communicating at all company levels.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work remotely under limited supervision.
• Pro-active communicator with problem solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Serve as day-to-day Contracts partner and liaison to the business with focus on EMEA region sales teams and professional service teams.
• Review and negotiate software license agreements, SaaS contracts, service provider agreements, and support service agreements using standard templates.
• Provide counsel on data privacy, cybersecurity and sovereignty laws and related regulations.
• Provide training on Commvault’s standard agreements to the sales community.
• Support the Deal Desk/Bid Desk with tender offers and licensing provisions.
• Collaborate across Legal, Finance, Deal Desk and other internal teams for decision making.
• Support the Professional Service Team with SoW and service-related agreements.
• Assist with Corporate Governance in EMEA and APAC regions.

• Review and give counsel on data privacy, cybersecurity and sovereignty laws and other data related legislation as necessary.




• Provide training on Commvault’s standard agreements to the sales community.




• Supporting the Deal Desk -/ Bid Desk Team e.g., with tender offers and special licensing provisions.




• Collaborate with and facilitate cross team decision making among the Legal team, Finance team, Deal Desk team and other internal teams.




• Supporting the Professional Service Team with SoW and other service-related agreements.




• Assist with Corporate Governance in EMEA and APAC region.

Position Requirements:

• At least 3 to 5 years of post-educational professional experience in a similar Contract/Legal professional role within an international commercial in-house environment.




• Legal or commercial degree as educational background.
