Job summary

Dematic is seeking a Controls Hardware Engineer to design compliant electrical systems powering our automated solutions. You will select control devices, document functionality, and produce clear drawing packages for installation and assembly manufacturing.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience in industrial automation, familiarity with E-Plan and AutoCAD, and are comfortable traveling up to 20% to customer sites. Knowledge of CE compliance and Machinery Directive is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in controls hardware design for industrial automation.

Responsibilities

• Interpret design input information to produce control system designs.
• Ensure systems designed and supplied are CE Compliant to the Machinery Directive.
• Produce design and manufacturing programmes.
• Produce all associated documentation including design calculations, design specifications, operation and maintenance manuals, and test specifications.
• Design and produce electrical layout and schematic drawings using CAD tools.
• Procurement of electrical control panels and installation services; liaise with suppliers on technical matters.
• Liaise with internal teams and provide technical information as required.
• Provide technical backup to service team including bug fixes and enhancements.
