Job summary
Dematic is seeking a Controls Hardware Engineer to design and deliver compliant, high-quality electrical systems for automated solutions. You will select control devices, document functionality, and develop detailed drawing packages for installation and assembly.
The role requires experience in industrial automation, proficiency with E-Plan/AutoCAD, and the ability to travel up to 20% to customer sites in Northern Europe and other Dematic offices.
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Extensive hands-on experience in industrial automation environments.
- Experience with E-Plan, AutoCAD, and MS Office software.
- Familiarity with Machinery Directive and harmonised standards.
Responsibilities
- Interpret design input information to produce control system designs.
- Ensure CE compliance of systems per Machinery Directive.
- Produce design and manufacturing programmes and documentation.
- Create electrical layout and schematic drawings using CAD tools.
- Procure electrical control panels and liaise with suppliers.
- Provide technical information to internal teams and customers.
- Support service with bug fixes, enhancements, and modifications.
