IXO is seeking private-equity associates with consumer, leisure or multi-site services experience for a paid remote modeling assignment. The work combines an independently built transaction model with a structured assessment of other practitioners' approaches to the same case.

Assignment

Start with a synthetic deal document pack and construct the financial model in Excel without relying on a supplied template. Submit an editable workbook whose formulas remain active, whose source references can be followed and whose assumptions are visible. The model should explain the transaction through the evidence in the case materials.

After completing your own work, assess two anonymized models prepared by other participants for that transaction. Apply the specified review criteria, complete a scorecard for each workbook and provide a concise written explanation of your assessment. Both the workbook and the two reviews are components of the assignment.

Practitioner profile

You must have two to four years of total experience, with around two years in investment banking followed by one to two years in mid-market or large-cap private equity. Your banking experience must cover consumer or retail businesses, or generalist M&A.

You must currently hold, or have recently held, an associate position at a mid-market or large-cap PE fund focused on consumer businesses, leisure or multi-site services. Relevant deal settings include fitness operators, company-owned versus franchise structures and consolidation across multiple locations. Independent modeling from source documents and working fluency in English are required.

A Paris-office background or French transaction experience is preferred. Banking experience in Paris, London or elsewhere in Europe is particularly relevant. The remote engagement is open in France, the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Luxembourg, Ireland and Switzerland.

Terms

Compensation is $85 $105/hr USD. Approximately 20–25 hours across 1.5–2 weeks is an indicative planning estimate; IXO will confirm effort, timing and deliverables before acceptance. Use the synthetic materials provided for the assignment, and do not contribute confidential fund, employer or transaction information. Any later work requires a separate agreement.
