Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide essential patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support nutrition and safety for assigned patients in a 36-hour work week (3 shifts of 12 hours).

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and BLS certification (within 30 days for new hires). Strong reading, math, and interpersonal skills are valued for accurate care delivery.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• New hires/transfers will have 30 days to obtain BLS certification.
• Basic ability to read, write and perform basic four-function math.
• Ability to learn medical terminology and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Cares for patients as delegated by the RN and completes ADLs.
• May take and record vital signs, height, weight, and oxygen saturation.
• Reports unusual observations to the nurse or charge nurse.
• Assists with intake/output and nutrition needs as required.
• Performs basic clinical procedures under supervision.
