ixolabs.ai seeks a remote CNC expert to assess machining setups and verify processes for consistent part production. You will interpret drawings, verify first-piece quality, and advise on tooling, work holding and CAM strategies.

The role requires Haas VF-2 experience, strong GD&T and measurement skills, and clear English communication. This is a paid remote engagement with flexible scheduling and defined assignment scope.

Qualifications

• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T skills, plus precision measurement experience.
• Clear written and spoken English with ability to troubleshoot and improve setups.
• Experience with Haas controls (VF-2 or similar).
• Familiarity with desktop/hobbyist CNC equipment (Makera Carvera).

Description du poste

IXO needs practical judgments about whether a machining process can produce the specified part consistently. This track covers desktop and industrial CNC workflows, connecting the program and setup to tooling, material behavior and measured part quality.

Work you will do

• Work through CNC setup and production scenarios, including program verification, tooling, work-holding and work-offset choices.
• Evaluate first-piece results against engineering drawings and identify the setup adjustments needed to meet dimensions.
• Diagnose tool wear, chatter, dimensional drift and maintenance-related problems; explain a workable troubleshooting sequence.
• Use caliper, micrometer, indicator or CMM evidence to assess a part, and provide useful manufacturing feedback on CAM strategies and setup choices.

Required background

• Required experience with Haas controls, such as VF-2 or comparable platforms.

Preferred background

• At least 5 years of hands-on CNC experience covering setup and production.
• Strong blueprint reading, GD&T and precision measurement, with practical metals and plastics experience.
• Clear written/spoken English and demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, improve setups and work safely.
• Experience with desktop or hobbyist CNC equipment, including Makera Carvera.

Deliverables

Clear setup and inspection assessments, process troubleshooting explanations and actionable manufacturability feedback.

Location and schedule

Remote expert engagement. The work relies on your demonstrated experience with the specified machining systems. IXO agrees the actual assignments, evidence requirements and schedule before work; fixed weekly hours and duration are not specified.

Pay and working terms

$85 • $130/hr USD. IXO will agree the assignment scope, hourly rate, schedule and acceptance criteria before work begins. Work is a paid remote expert engagement; applying does not guarantee an assignment.
