Job summary

SAP SE in Paris (Levallois-Perret) seeks a software engineer to own the end-to-end development of distributed systems in our database cloud platform. You will design, implement, and operate scalable data-processing components with a focus on reliability and performance.

You will collaborate across teams, champion best practices, and participate in code reviews while leveraging Kubernetes, cloud deployments, and AI-enabled tooling to improve delivery and quality.

Qualifications

• Solid grounding in distributed systems design with concurrency and scheduling.
• Experience building scalable microservices and high-throughput APIs for data platforms.
• Proficiency in Java for production-grade software development.
• Hands-on experience with containers and Kubernetes across clouds.
• Familiarity with S3/ADLS/HDFS and RBAC in data platforms.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end development lifecycle of distributed systems in SAP's database cloud.
• Build and maintain scalable APIs with low-latency access to distributed storage.
• Participate in code and design reviews to maintain engineering quality.
• Support team growth through hiring participation and coaching.
• Contribute to engineering best practices and automation initiatives.
