Job summary

European Investment Bank (EIB) seeks an Investment Officer for the Cleantech Equity & Growth Capital Division at its Luxembourg headquarters. The role involves deal origination and execution, structuring with equity-type instruments, and representing the Bank at conferences. Regular office presence is required; relocation support is offered.

Panel interviews are anticipated end of November to early December 2026. The position is full-time (grade 5) with a permanent contract.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience, including venture debt, venture/growth capital, private equity or investment banking.
• Proficiency in financial modelling in MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead direct equity-type transactions across the full investment lifecycle, including origination and due diligence, structuring, approval, documentation, execution and disbursement.
• Originate investment opportunities aligned with EIB’s priorities.
• Prepare investment proposals and negotiate finance documentation.
