Job summary

European Investment Bank (EIB) is seeking an Associate Officer in Regulatory Capital and Capital Policy to support monthly capital calculations and related reporting. The role involves data collection, analysis, and coordination with the Capital Management Division and GR&C teams at the Luxembourg headquarters.

The position requires a university degree in a quantitative field, at least three years in capital calculations or related banking roles, strong Excel/VBA skills, and proficiency in

Qualifications

• University degree (minimum equivalent to a Bachelor) in a quantitative field.
• At least three years of relevant experience in capital requirements calculation or related banking/finance roles.
• Familiarity with modern credit risk measurement methodologies and regulatory framework (Basel III, EBA, BIS).
• Proficient in MS Excel, VBA and programming languages (Python/SAS) with ability to handle large data sets.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in monthly calculation and monitoring of key capital metrics; prepare reports, dashboards and presentations.
• Analyse capital metrics used by credit rating agencies and maintain related tools.
• Coordinate data quality checks and consolidate information for MDB Capital Adequacy initiatives.
• Support internal audit findings and validation recommendations related to the Unit’s deliverables.
• Provide analytical support on capital management initiatives and ad hoc projects.
