AWS is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join the Data Center Engineering Operations team in France. You will ensure 100% uptime of MEP systems, oversee preventive maintenance, and act as the technical reference for facility operations, reporting to the site Facility Manager.

You will lead cross-functional projects, train Engineering Operations Technicians, and drive cost-efficient maintenance while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English (spoken, written).
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Industrial Technology, or Electrotechnical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in a data center or other critical environment.
• Proven experience in the management and maintenance of critical infrastructure (UPS, generators, switchboards, HVAC, cooling systems).

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily operations and maintenance of the data center's mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Lead and mentor Engineering Operations Technicians.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of equipment failures.
• Lead infrastructure improvement projects from design to delivery, tracking milestones, costs, and deliverables.
• Ensure safety procedures by contractors and Amazon personnel.
