Amazon Web Services is looking for a rigorous and experienced Chief Engineer to join the Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) team in France. You will ensure uptime and reliability of electrical, mechanical and fire protection systems across data centers, leading maintenance and major projects.

You will mentor technicians, manage cross-functional projects, and drive efficiency while controlling costs. The role requires leadership, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to communicate

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English and French, both written and spoken.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data center or critical infrastructure environments.
• Experience with UPS, generators, switchboards, HVAC and cooling systems.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily operations and maintenance of data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Lead, mentor and train Engineering Operations Technicians.
• Act as escalation point for facility-related issues and perform RCA.
• Manage complex projects from design through delivery and track costs.
• Ensure safety procedures by contractors and Amazon personnel.
• Use CMMS/BMS to manage workflows and report outcomes.
• Communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
