Northern Montana Hospital seeks an Acute Care Charge RN for the Med/Surg/Peds unit. This self-motivated professional coordinates care before and after surgery, during recovery, and swing bed stays, ensuring safe, patient-centered care.

The Charge Nurse mentors teammates, applies established policies, and collaborates with the care team to maintain high-quality outcomes. Requirements: accredited nursing program, Montana RN license, BLS; ACLS/PALS optional.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Registered nurse licensed by the Montana State Board of Nursing.
• One year of Med/Surg experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS Certification optional.

Responsabilités

• Assess, coordinate, implement, delegate, and evaluate the delivery of safe, patient-centered care on the Med/Surg/Peds unit.
• Serve as a resource and mentor to staff to support professional growth.
• Collaborate within the unit and with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care and efficient patient flow.

About the role

An Acute Care Medical/Surgical/Pediatric Unit (Med/Surg/Peds) Charge Registered Nurse is a self-motivated professional who acts as a support and resource person in the care of patients before or after surgery, during recovery, during acute illness, and during swing bed hospital stays. They are responsible for the assessment, coordination, implementation, delegation, and evaluation of the delivery of safe and effective patient-centered care. The charge nurse will facilitate and mentor others to grow professionally and advance their knowledge and skills. The charge nurse functions in structured care settings described as geographic and/or situational environments where the policies and procedures for provision of health care are established. The Charge Nurse has acquired or will acquire knowledge and develop proficiency in caring for individuals on the Medical/Surgical/Pediatric unit and relative to the ages of patients served.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Registered nurse currently licensed to practice professional nursing by the Montana State Board of Nursing.
• One year of Med/Surg experience is preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS Certification optional.

Salary is commensurate with up to 15 years of experience.
