Ski Weekender is seeking Chalet Hosts for the Aravis Lodge in La Clusaz, France. You will be the main point of contact for guests, delivering meals, assisting guests, and supporting housekeeping throughout a busy chalet environment.

Experience in restaurant service is essential, and food hygiene qualifications are useful. An EU passport or the right to work in the EU is required; UK passport holders are not eligible due to Brexit. Full training will be provided to new team members.

Responsabilités

• Serve and clear breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner six days a week.
• Clean and tidy the dining room, café area, bar, stairs and hallways daily.
• Manage front of house cleaning after service and support housekeeping on changeover days.
• Be the first point of contact for guests and assist with queries throughout their stay.
• Lead guests on evening activities such as snow shoe walks and sledging.

We require chalet hosts for the Aravis Lodge in La Clusaz.

Please note the requirement of an EU passport - for the sake of clarity this means a passport issued by an EU country/right to work within the EU.

All our Chalet Hosts need to have a welcoming attitude and a good eye for detail and list cleanliness, friendliness and flexibility as strong points. You will be a main point of contact for guests, so you must be able to build good relationships with the customers and assist them in all aspects of their skiing holiday.

One of the principal responsibilities of the Chalet Host role is the serving, delivery and clearing of all meals in the chalet - including the washing up! In the Aravis Lodge we serve dinner for up to 45 guests; therefore we are looking for people who have worked in restaurants with 40 covers or more. Restaurant waiting experience is essential in this role whilst other customer service experience is also desirable.

Any Food Hygiene qualifications that you have would be useful too. Enthusiasm for working in a fast-moving, dynamic, chalet kitchen environment supporting professional chefs is most important. Full training will be given.

In addition the role will encompass the management and cleaning of the cafe and dining room areas - you will also be expected to play a key role in supporting the domestic / housekeeping team on changeover days. This will involve cleaning bedrooms and bathrooms to tight deadlines.

Requirements

Your job will include, but is not limited to:

• Serving and clearing breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner 6 days a week
• Cleaning and tidying the dining room, café area, bar, stairs and hallways on a daily basis
• Clearing down and cleaning the front of house area of the kitchen after service
• Helping housekeeping on changeover days
• Being on hand as the first point of contact for guests and helping them with any queries or questions they may have at any point during their stay with us
• Taking guests on evening entertainments including snow shoe walks and sledging.
