Consensio Chalets Ltd is seeking an experienced Chalet Chef to lead luxury catering across Val d’Isère, Méribel and Courchevel. You’ll design bespoke menus, oversee daily breakfast and afternoon tea, and craft five-course evenings with canapés and petits fours for discerning guests.

The role requires strong kitchen hygiene, budgeting, and staff training, with a commitment to sustainability and guest satisfaction throughout the winter season.

• Hold an EU passport or a French Carte de Séjour
• Have a full driving licence held for at least 2 years
• Be over 21 years old (for vehicle insurance purposes)

Responsabilités

• Chalet Catering: Create bespoke menus for guests based on pre-arrival information, including daily breakfast and afternoon tea, and five-night multi-course dinners with canapés and petit fours.
• Children’s Dinner Service: Provide an earlier children’s dinner option when required.
• Food Hygiene Standards: Maintain kitchen hygiene and safety, including end-of-service cleaning and weekly deep clean.
• Budgets and Accounts: Manage chalet food budgets and ordering.
• Breakfast Chef Support: Train and support the breakfast chef at start of season and as needed.
• Staff Meals: Plan and prepare two staff meals per day.
• Guest Interaction: Present menus to guests, explain dishes clearly, and accommodate special requests.
• Environmental Responsibility: Actively support Consensio’s sustainability initiatives.

Role Overview

We are pleased to offer Chalet Chef positions within our Ultimate Catered Chalets across Val d’Isère, Méribel, and Courchevel. This is a very demanding but rewarding role with full responsibility for the catering service in your allocated chalet alongside your team. The emphasis in this role is on your ability to draw on your own impressive experience and creativity to design and deliver a luxury chalet catering service of the highest possible standard.

Main Responsibilities

• Chalet Catering: Using pre-arrival information provided by your guests, create a bespoke menu for them for their stay:
  • Daily breakfast (in collaboration with the breakfast chef).
  • Daily afternoon tea, to include one sweet and one savoury dish.
  • Prepare evening meals for five nights of the guests’ weekly stay based on their preferences and requests, but you can expect it to include canapés, up to five courses and petit fours.
• Children’s Dinner Service: Some guests may require an earlier children’s dinner time with an appropriate menu.
• Food Hygiene Standards: Maintaining food hygiene, general health & safety standards in the kitchen and dining areas, to include a full clean of the kitchen at the end of each service, and a weekly deep clean.
• Budgets and Accounts: Management of the chalet food budget and provision ordering and shopping.
• Breakfast Chef Support: Working collaboratively with the breakfast chef, providing training at the beginning of the season, and ongoing as required.
• Staff Meals: Planning and preparation of two staff meals per day.
• Guest Interaction: Professionally presenting menus to guests, explaining dishes clearly and responding to any special requests.
• Environmental Responsibility: Demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainability and actively supporting Consensio’s environmental initiatives.
