Advocate Health in the Carolinas is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant in cardiology to join our team. This full-time role follows a Mon-Fri schedule, 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM, with a 40-hour work week and a sign-on bonus eligibility based on criteria.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, vital signs, medication reconciliation, assisting with procedures, drawing labs and handling CLIA waived tests, vaccines, and coordinating referrals and scheduling. Requires education and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Must fulfill Medical Assistant scope of practice per department policies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and team.
• Proficient with computers and electronic medical records.

Responsabilités

• Perform rooming/visit tasks including vital signs and history.
• Assist providers with procedures as ordered.
• Manage labs: venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT per orders.
• Administer medications and vaccines safely.
• Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, and insurance authorizations.
• Maintain clean, stocked clinical areas and equipment.
• Demonstrate age-appropriate care and communication.
