Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care in a busy clinical setting. You will perform rooming, vital signs, medical history, and assist providers with procedures while ensuring a clean, compliant work area.

Required include graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program, 2 years of clinical MA experience, and current AHA BLS certification. Additional certifications such as CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Two years of experience in a clinical practice setting as a Medical Assistant.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks including vital signs and history.
• Assists provider with procedures and performs lab related duties as ordered.
• Administers medications and vaccines following safety protocols.
• Maintains clean, stocked work environment and may assist with training.
