IXO invites you to join a Cantonese language-quality task. You will evaluate meaning, fluency and contextual fit of Cantonese text and speech, mark errors, and explain how to distinguish language defects from acceptable variation.Native Cantonese is required; experience in language evaluation, translation or annotation is preferred. Content moderation and transcription experience are useful. Pay is USD 35–45 per hour, and the work is remote.

Your work at IXO

Review Cantonese language data across written and spoken tasks. Your work will help identify where an AI response is linguistically wrong, ambiguous or poorly matched to its context.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the meaning, fluency and contextual fit of Cantonese text and speech.
• Mark errors and give concrete explanations that distinguish language defects from acceptable variation.
• Annotate, label or categorize examples under the supplied language-data rules.
• Resolve routine cases consistently and elevate difficult judgments with the relevant evidence.
• Suggest clearer review criteria and document recurring quality problems.

Profile

Native Cantonese is the language foundation for this work, including a strong command of its spoken and written forms. Language evaluation, translation, annotation or related language-technology experience is preferred. Content moderation, transcription and quality-review experience are also useful routes.

Outputs and pay

Deliverables include labeled examples, supported quality decisions and recommendations for recurring issues. This broad language-evaluation role is distinct from a specialist Cantonese phonetics or tone-analysis assignment. IXO will agree the exact scope, review criteria and schedule before work begins.

Pay is $35 - $45/hr in USD. Work is remote.
