As a Business Development Representative, your primary objective will be to identify, engage and qualify new corporate clients for Removall.
You will be at the forefront of our commercial development, opening conversations with companies looking to address their residual emissions, contribute to global climate action and integrate high-integrity carbon credits into their climate strategies.
Working closely with the Business Development team, you will build and develop a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities across France and selected international markets.
Your responsibilities
New client acquisition
- Identify and prospect new corporate clients in France and internationally.
- Build targeted prospect lists based on sectors, geography, company climate commitments and carbon credit needs.
- Conduct outbound prospecting through email, LinkedIn, phone and other relevant channels.
- Engage key decision-makers within Sustainability, CSR, Climate, Procurement, Finance and Executive teams.
- Develop tailored outreach strategies according to each prospect's climate strategy, sector and potential carbon needs.
- Generate qualified meetings and opportunities for the Business Development team.
Lead qualification & opportunity development
- Understand prospects' climate strategies, net-zero commitments and current or future use of carbon credits.
- Qualify opportunities based on carbon needs, volumes, timing, budget, decision-making process and strategic priorities.
- Identify relevant commercial angles based on Removall's portfolio of carbon avoidance and removal projects.
- Support prospects during the initial stages of the sales cycle and ensure an effective handover to the appropriate Business Developer.
- Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects to move opportunities through the pipeline.
Monitor corporate climate commitments, carbon neutrality strategies, sustainability reports and developments in the voluntary and compliance carbon markets.
Identify companies likely to become buyers of carbon credits or removals.
Research priority sectors and markets to identify new commercial opportunities.
Contribute to defining prospecting campaigns and market-entry strategies.
Share market intelligence and feedback from prospects with the wider commercial team.
CRM & commercial performance
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date prospect and opportunity information in the CRM.
- Track prospecting activity, conversion rates and pipeline development.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Removall's sales processes, messaging and lead-generation tools.
- Work towards clear objectives for outreach, qualified meetings and pipeline generation.
Events & networking
- Identify relevant conferences, industry events and networking opportunities.
- Support business development activities around key carbon market and sustainability events.
- Engage potential clients before, during and after events to generate new commercial opportunities.
- Represent Removall professionally with prospective clients and partners.
Who we are looking for
You are commercially driven, proactive and comfortable opening conversations with senior corporate stakeholders. You enjoy prospecting, researching companies and turning an initial contact into a qualified business opportunity.
You ideally have:
- 1–3 years of experience in business development, sales, lead generation or another client-facing role.
- A strong interest in climate, sustainability and carbon markets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a strong appetite for new client acquisition.
- The ability to conduct structured research and quickly understand a company's business and climate strategy.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a large number of prospects simultaneously.
- Confidence engaging with senior decision-makers.
- Experience using CRM and sales prospecting tools is a plus.
Languages:
- Fluent French and English are required.
- Additional European languages are a strong advantage.
Previous experience in carbon markets is valuable but not essential. More importantly, we are looking for someone who is curious, commercially minded and motivated to develop expertise in a fast-evolving market.
