Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a health program assistant to provide program information, referral and crisis intervention to callers and office visitors. You will determine appropriate level of care with clinical leads and schedule evaluations to meet community needs.

Responsibilities include collecting admission data, verifying insurance coverage, obtaining initial authorizations, documenting records, and guiding clients to resources.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED and at least 1 year of related experience.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team with professionals.
• Proficiency with Excel and Word; familiarity with electronic health records is a plus.
• Strong multitasking, time management and attention to detail.

Responsabilités

• Respond to calls and walk-ins for clients seeking admission.
• Interview clients to gather information for admission requirements.
• Understand insurance restrictions to assign appropriate coverage and inform about subsidies when available.
• Obtain initial authorization from insurance companies when applicable.
• Document client demographics and billing information in the system.
• Market programs by providing information and brochures.
• Provide information on community resources internal and external to BILH.
• Assist in emergency situations seeking client treatment.
• Share timely information on identified risks.
• Scan documents into the electronic system.
• Attend supervision and meetings as required.
• Maintain tracking requirements for programs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
