ESRF - The European Synchrotron Radiation Facility in Grenoble is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for Scientific Instrumentation. You will contribute to the design and installation of equipment for a new beamline dedicated to nano-tomography, collaborating closely with engineers experienced in mechanical engineering. The position requires a Master's degree in mechanical engineering, a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, proficiency in CAD software like SolidWorks, and strong teamwork skills. A time-limited contract of up to 36 months is offered.

Qualifications

  • Higher university degree (Master or equivalent 300 ECTS diploma) in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience with skills in drafting, mechanical design and engineering calculations.
  • Proficient use of mechanical design CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks).
  • Experience in procurement, manufacturing, follow-up and project management is a key asset.
  • Autonomous, well-organised, team-oriented with a hands-on mindset.
  • Proficiency in English.
