European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) in Grenoble seeks an Electronics Engineer to lead development of cutting-edge control electronics for science instruments. You will work on electronics for beamlines and accelerator systems, with a focus on high precision and reliability.

The role involves designing and maintaining hardware, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and providing expert support to users for complex instrumentation and timing systems.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Electronics or related discipline (300 ECTS).
  • 5+ years of experience in electronics engineering; hands-on boards design preferred.
  • Solid background in digital and analog electronics, circuit design, schematics, and PCB layout.
  • Proficiency in programming (Python, C) and FPGA design is advantageous.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, problem-solving and time management abilities.

Responsabilités

  • Develop and maintain control electronics hardware for ESRF beamlines and accelerator complex.
  • Provide high-quality technical support to users and ensure reliable operation of control electronics solutions.
  • Design electronics for instrumentation, including sensor interfaces, low-noise/high-speed circuits, embedded systems, and motion control.
