Job summary

Mistral AI is seeking an experienced Banking/Financing Legal Counsel based in Paris to structure, draft, and negotiate complex financing transactions. You will work closely with our Head of M&A and Finance Legal Counsel and partner with Finance, M&A, Compute teams to enable growth while mitigating legal risk.

The role emphasizes cross-border deal coordination, familiarity with LMA documents, and a strong background in project and infrastructure financing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above (LLB, LLM, Juris Doctor preferred) from a French or EU law school.
• Admission to practice law in at least one other jurisdiction (USA a plus).
• 7+ years of legal experience, incl. 4+ years in an international law firm.

Responsibilities

• Structure and negotiate non-dilutive financing deals (corporate loans, asset-backed and project finance).
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Finance, M&A, Compute) and external counsel across jurisdictions.
• Build and maintain internal templates, precedents, and guidelines for financing documentation.
