Job summary

BlaBlaCar in Paris, France is seeking a Confirmed Backend Engineer to join the Payment Squad to help deliver a reliable, scalable payment platform and end-to-end payment experience for members. You will work on payment integrations, fraud prevention, and compliance, collaborating with frontend and other teams in a hybrid work model with strong ownership and a practical, team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in engineering-focused growth environments.
• Fluent in Java with Spring, Spring Boot, JUnit and Mockito.
• Hands-on with Git, Docker, Kubernetes and Datadog monitoring.
• Knowledge of service-oriented architecture and design patterns.
• Strong communication, humility and teamwork; English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Participate in full application lifecycle from design to deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with product and design to define relevant features.
• Share technical expertise with cross-functional teams.
• Apply architectural patterns where appropriate in a growth environment.
