Qonto is offering a Backend Engineer Intern role where you will build and ship real financial features in Go and Ruby, with guidance from a senior engineer. You’ll work in a squad with full ownership of its product scope and learn on real production code powered by AI tools.

This end-of-studies internship welcomes strong candidates and provides a senior mentor, direct manager access, and a supportive, inclusive environment focused on growth and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Curiosity and eagerness to learn in a complex environment.
• Openness to feedback and ability to grow quickly.
• Basic coding skills in any language and knowledge of SQL.

Responsibilities

• Ship real features: card authorization, transfers, onboarding or our payment gateway.
• Join the team from day one and participate in daily rituals and processes.
• Learn from a dedicated mentor with weekly 1-on-1s and ongoing feedback.
• Read, write and review production Go and Ruby code, using AI tools to learn and build faster.
• Shape features by joining product discussions with Tech, Product and Design.
