Volta software’s Connect team is building integrations that connect client ERPs with our platform. As a Back End engineer in this team, you’ll talk directly to clients before coding and then implement robust Python-based backend integrations.

You'll join pre-kickoff meetings with French clients, design scalable data pipelines, and own the delivery lifecycle from specification to go-live, while collaborating with the CTO in Italy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong Python experience for production systems.
• Proven ERP, REST API, or data-pipeline integrations.
• Strong SQL skills across PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL Server, or Oracle.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and API design patterns.
• Comfortable in client-facing meetings and discussions.
• Ownership mindset; proactive and outcome-driven.
• Based in France; fluent in French and English.

Responsabilités

The Connect team is at the heart of how Volta comes to life for each client - owning the integrations with their ERPs and making sure data flows reliably between their world and ours. As a Back End engineer on this team, you’ll do something most developers rarely get to: talk directly to clients before a single line of code is written, then build the integrations that sit at the core of our Platform.

You’ll join pre-kickoff meetings with French clients, understand their technical environment, and translate that into solid integration work - the kind that handles the real complexity of connecting Volta to production ERP systems.

You’re going to be our first technical hire in France and you’ll report to the CTO based in Italy.

What You’ll Do

• Lead pre-kickoff meetings with French clients - map their tech stack, define integration scope, and build trust from day one

• Design and develop Python backend integrations connecting Volta to ERPs, catalogs, APIs, and data pipelines

• Own the full delivery lifecycle: you define the spec, build the solution, and see it through to go-live

• Troubleshoot issues and ensure a smooth experience for each client post-launch

• Bring real client insights back to the product team - your field perspective shapes how Volta evolves for the French market

Must-haves

• 5+ years of backend development experience
• Strong experience with modern Python for critical production systems
• Proven experience integrating with ERPs, REST APIs, or complex data pipelines
• Strong SQL skills (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL Server, or Oracle)
• Understanding of distributed systems concepts and API design patterns
• Confident and comfortable in client-facing conversations - you can run a kickoff meeting and earn trust fast
• Strong ownership mindset: you don't wait for tickets, you drive outcomes
• Based in France, fluent in French and English

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a B2B SaaS or startup environment
• Familiarity with wholesale, distribution, or order management domains
