Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is looking for a PDE KEG engineer to identify, evaluate, and integrate new automated equipment platforms and technology to support advanced packaging needs. You will install, qualify, and handover to production, while maintaining capability matrices and supplier engagement.

You will drive EMI/TOR standardization, collaborate with IT and automation teams, and participate in cross-functional packaging development activities to ensure readiness for mass production.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master/Bachelor in engineering or physics (or equivalent).
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing assembly and advanced packaging is a plus.
• 0–2 years in related semiconductor industry or manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and English proficiency.
• Willingness for seasonal travel and cross-functional teamwork.
• Ability to apply AI-enabled tools for efficiency and quality improvements.

Responsibilities

• Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness.
• Contributes to continuous improvement by testing and sharing AI-enabled enhancements.
• Evaluate and qualify new equipment platforms and handover to production teams.
• Plan capital requests and own purchasing specifications for new equipment.
• Maintain Equipment Maturity Index and TOR updates across platforms.
• Enable equipment control systems (FDC, APC, IOT, ECM) and automation readiness.
• Engage with suppliers and internal teams to drive equipment improvements.
