Job summary

SKF Aerospace Lons-le-Saunier is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to lead customer quality activities. Reporting to the Site Quality Manager, you will be the primary interface for customer complaints, oversee audits, and ensure product integrity through corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in customer quality, ideally within the aerospace industry.
• Solid knowledge of problem-solving methodologies and quality tools (8D, DMAIC, Six Sigma, 5 Whys, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary customer interface for customer complaints and after-sales service (returns).
• Plan and support customer audits and visits.
• Manage analysis of identified deviations and monitor corrective actions until issues are resolved.
• Manage 8D investigations and major action plans arising from customer complaints, coordinating with customers and departments.
• Monitor investigations and direct Customer Quality cases to relevant departments for root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Create and maintain customer specification deviation matrices for products in serial production.
• Prepare complaint summaries and associated action plans for key customers and communicate via reviews.
• Analyze recurring defects and drive long-term initiatives to improve customer satisfaction.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by introducing lessons learned and value-added initiatives.
• Participate in internal audits and analysis of non-conformities.
• Monitor KPI performance and costs related to customer quality and after-sales service activities.
