Jobtailor is seeking a Senior Group Accountant to lead the French entity's accounting operations from Paris. You will oversee month-end closes, ensure tax filings in France, and coordinate with international firms for other entities.

Responsibilities include intercompany reconciliations, revenue recognition, audit coordination with CAC and local firms, and driving process improvements. You will manage two accounting assistants and work with Pennylane.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in accounting, finance or management (DCG/DSCG/Master CCA or equivalent).
• 5–8 years in general accounting, audit or public accounting.
• Experience in an accounting or audit firm is valued.
• Strong month-end closes and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Solid knowledge of French accounting principles and tax filings.
• Experience in multi-entity or international environments.
• Understanding of consolidation and intercompany flows.
• Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets.
• Pennylane knowledge is a plus.
• Professional-level English, written and spoken.
• Strong autonomy, responsibility, analytical mindset, detail-oriented.

• Coordinate the preparation of statutory and consolidated annual audits with CAC and local firms.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of financial and accounting processes.
• Collaborate with two accounting assistants.

• Manage and oversee general accounting internally for the French entity using Pennylane
• Ensure mandatory tax filings in France
• Coordinate accounting work with external accounting firms internationally for three other entities
• Review trial balances produced by external firms
• Lead reconciliations of intercompany transactions between the different entities
• Execute and secure the client billing process
• Ensure correct revenue recognition and monitor accounts receivable
• Coordinate the preparation of statutory and consolidated annual audits with statutory auditors (CAC) and local accounting firms
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial and accounting processes
• Collaborate with two accounting assistants

Requirements

• Advanced degree in accounting, finance or management (DCG, DSCG, Master CCA, business school or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 to 8 years’ experience in general accounting, audit or public accounting
• Experience in an accounting firm or audit firm is highly valued
• Excellent command of month-end closes and balance sheet reconciliations
• Solid knowledge of French accounting principles and tax filing obligations in France
• Experience in a multi-entity or international environment is a real asset
• Ability to understand issues related to consolidation and intercompany flows
• Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets
• Knowledge of the Pennylane accounting software is a plus
• Professional-level English required, written and spoken
• Strong autonomy, sense of responsibility, analytical mindset and attention to detail
