Jobtailor is seeking a senior accounting advisor to lead client engagements on IFRS and European accounting compliance in Paris. You will oversee due diligence, financial reporting, and regulatory submissions for complex transactions.

The role requires a Master’s in Accounting, 8+ years in public or corporate accounting, and strong leadership to mentor teams and develop client relationships.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• A French accounting designation (e.g., DEC, DSCG) or CPA and/or MBA is highly preferred.
• At least eight years of experience in public accounting or corporate accounting/finance.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and French GAAP; familiarity with U.S. GAAP is a plus.
• Experience with public company reporting is preferred.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with clients and auditors.

Responsabilités

• Interact with clients’ executive teams and auditors, leading complex accounting issues to clear conclusions.
• Lead client engagements and own delivery of operational due diligence for complex transactions (e.g., IPOs, acquisitions, divestitures, equity offerings, debt financings).
• Oversee preparation and delivery of financial and regulatory information in accordance with IFRS and French/EU requirements (e.g., AMF filings, ESEF, EU financial disclosure).
• Serve as a subject-matter expert on projects related to new IFRS standards and European accounting regulations.
• Lead process improvement initiatives and implementation of accounting/reporting changes.
• Mentor managers and consultants, foster professional growth and provide feedback.
• Lead firm initiatives and identify opportunities for improvements in services.
• Participate in recruiting, client relationship building, and business development efforts.

• Oversee preparation and delivery of financial and regulatory information in accordance with IFRS and the regulatory requirements of French and EU markets (e.g., AMF filings, ESEF compliance, EU financial disclosure).
• Serve as a subject-matter expert on projects related to new IFRS standards and other European accounting regulations.
• Lead process improvement initiatives and the implementation of accounting and reporting changes.
• Mentor managers and consultants, model ethical behavior, foster professional growth, and provide constructive, actionable feedback.
• Lead firm initiatives and identify opportunities for operational and service improvements.
• Play an active role in the firm’s recruiting activities, client relationship building, and business development efforts.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with a concentration in Accounting. A French accounting designation (e.g., DEC, DSCG) or a CPA and/or MBA (or equivalent from a Grande École de Commerce or d’Ingénieurs) is highly preferred.
• At least eight years of experience in public accounting or corporate accounting/finance.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and French GAAP; familiarity with U.S. GAAP is a plus. Experience with public company reporting is preferred.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to integrate seamlessly into teams and engage effectively with clients and auditors.
• Proven ability to identify client needs and deliver practical solutions, building strong and trusted client relationships.
• Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to lead client engagements and drive successful outcomes.
• Highly organized, focused, and able to set clear expectations and direction for your team.
