Job summary

Malt, Europe’s leading freelance marketplace, invites a Senior FP&A professional to Paris. You will lead topline financial planning, modeling and partnerships with Commercial and RevOps to drive commercial performance.

You will own deal economics, monthly closings, and finance operations, building scalable workflows and ensuring accurate reporting for strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Proven FP&A or business finance experience with financial modeling.
• Experience with topline closing, internal and external reporting.
• Strong proficiency in Excel/Sheets and financial tools (Pigment/Anaplan).
• Database querying (SQL) and BI tools (Looker) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Co-own financial deal modeling and economics validation with FP&A leadership.
• Execute monthly topline closings, reconciliations and reporting.
• Oversee rebates, accruals and inventory planning and reconciliations.
• Monitor bad debt provisioning and optimize factoring fees.
• Partner with internal tools to automate scalable financial workflows.

As Malt rapidly scales its business, protecting and optimizing our margins is key to sustainable growth. Joining our Finance team in Paris, you will play a pivotal role in building a robust Topline FP&A function and driving commercial performance. Partnering closely with Commercial teams and RevOps, you will oversee deal modeling, financial validation, and monthly closing routines to turn complex data into actionable commercial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Deal Desk & RFP Modeling: Co-own financial deal modeling and economics validation alongside Senior FP&A, ensuring fast turnaround times (SLA <24h) for deal desk responses and accurate RFP documentation.

• Topline Closings & Operations: Execute monthly topline closing mechanics, reconciliations, and reporting routines accurately and efficiently.

• RFA Management: Oversee end-to-end processing, accruals, and reconciliations for Rebates (RFA), Accruals, and Inventory.

• Bad Debt & Factoring: Monitor and calculate bad debt provisioning as well as optimize factoring fee calculations.

• Process Automation & Scalability: Partner with internal tools and databases to eliminate repetitive manual tasks and build scalable financial workflows.

About you

Experience & Hard Skills:

• Background: Proven experience in FP&A or Business Finance, with strong experience in financial modeling and profitability analysis.

• FP&A Operations: Hands-on experience with topline closings, internal & external reportings.

• Tooling Proficiency: Strong command of Excel (or Gsheet) and financial tools (Pigment/Anaplan). Database query (SQL / DBeaver) & BI tools (Looker) are a plus

Soft Skills & Mindset:

• Commercial Partnering: Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with Commercial and RevOps teams while enforcing deal desk governance.

• Reactivity & Speed: Maintain high accuracy on strategic & high-stakes deals.

• Automation Mindset: Continuous-improvement mindset with a strong preference for building scalable automated solutions over manual workarounds.
