Job summary

Sandvik in Tampere (Myllypuro) is seeking a Test Mine Development Engineer to lead the roadmap for our Test Mine development portfolio and manage projects end-to-end.

You will collaborate with a multi-national team across product lines and testing facilities, host visitors, and coordinate subcontractors while applying mining expertise.

Fluent English and Finnish are required, with hands-on drilling experience and a blasting license enabling practical operations in our facilities.

Qualifications

• Suitable technical education in mining engineering.
• Several years working experience in real mine.
• Hands on experience on drilling.
• Valid blasting license.
• Understanding of mining processes and mine operations.
• Experience with mine designing tools is a plus.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Finnish language skill is must in our working environment.

Job description

Our Test Mine organisation is looking for a Test Mine Development Engineer . The role is full-time, permanent and located in Tampere (Myllypuro), Finland.

Test Mine organisation is operating two testing facilities, underground Test Mine and surface Test Pit. Our task is to provide Product Lines, RTD and R&D testing facilities and support in technology development. We are continuously running wide variety development projects which range from facility development, digitalisation, mining processes and our own daily operation processes.

Your role

• Drive, develop and own the roadmap of Test Mine's development portfolio
• Run projects and activities as a Project Manager
• Other daily operational tasks as a part of Test Mine management team for example supporting Product Lines testing, hosting visitors and managing subcontractors.

Your background and what we find important
