Mercor is seeking meticulous Telugu annotators to build training data for Telugu documents. You will locate publicly accessible Telugu PDFs with multimodal elements and annotate every meaningful region, assign types and reading order, then link related regions to figures or tables.

You will also transcribe text in Telugu script, flag unreadable parts, and capture page metadata. A second Telugu expert reviews every submission.

Qualifications

• Native Telugu speaker with full command of script and orthography.
• Experience with annotation, transcription, localization or related language data work.
• Strong emphasis on character-level accuracy and systematic approach.

Responsabilités

• Source Telugu PDFs or documents with multimodal elements and record its source.
• Annotate structure: bound regions with types and reading order.
• Link regions to their parent figures/tables.
• Transcribe faithfully in Telugu script, flagging unreadable regions.
• Capture page metadata such as language and layout features.
• Undergo second-expert review.
