Job summary

Helvar is seeking a Technical Support Engineer (Swedish Speaking) based in Espoo to join our Global Technical Support team. You will provide high-quality technical assistance to Helvar customers in Sweden, Finland and the UK, handling inquiries, troubleshooting and implementing effective solutions.

The role requires Swedish and English fluency, a solid IT networking or electrical background, and willingness to travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

  • Swedish and English mandatory; Finnish and other European languages are a plus.
  • Basic IT networking knowledge with the ability to support system integration.
  • Electrical or electronic background provides a solid foundation for technical problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with automation, integration, networks, and/or AV equipment is desirable but not essential.
  • Proven ability to manage high customer expectations and deliver results under tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with VARs and customers.
  • Team player who collaborates across departments to maximise value for customers and the business.
  • Analytical mindset with hands-on experience in technical troubleshooting.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites when necessary.

  • Serve as an internal technical expert, providing in-depth knowledge on Helvar systems and products.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues within Helvar products, handling integrations and documenting solutions.
  • Focus on lifecycle product services including troubleshooting, repairs, end-user training, and system upgrades.
  • Work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and a seamless experience for Helvar customers.
  • Minimum of three days per week in the office is expected.

Job description

We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer (Swedish Speaking), based in Espoo and part of our Global Technical Support team, to provide high-quality technical assistance to Helvar customers in Sweden, Finland and the UK - and ensure the smooth and reliable operation of our systems. In this role, you will manage technical inquiries, deliver expert troubleshooting guidance, and implement effective solutions. You will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to continuously enhance support processes, tools, and documentation. Utilising your technical expertise, you will independently resolve issues while also collaborating with our 2nd line technical support and R&D teams to tackle the most complex challenges.

What you'll be doing as our Technical Support Engineer
  • Provide technical support for Helvar customers in Sweden, ensuring smooth operation and troubleshooting of our systems.
  • Support Helvar partner companies’ technical teams and their key customers, offering expert guidance and problem-solvingassistance.
  • Continuously enhance your technical expertiseby staying up to date with new intelligent building solutions. Through ongoing learning and development, become a technical authority across our entire product, software, and service portfolio.
  • Serve as an internal technical expert, providing in-depth knowledge and guidance on all Helvar systems and products.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues within Helvar products and systems, handling integrations, documenting solutions, and escalating customer concerns when necessary.
  • Focus on lifecycle product services, including troubleshooting, repairs, end-user training, and system upgrades to maximise product longevity and customer satisfaction.
  • Work independently while remaining adaptable to the evolving needs and priorities of our customers.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring a seamless experience for all Helvar customers.
  • To support learning and collaboration, a minimum of three days per week in the office is expected.
What experience we would like from you
  • Swedish and English (spoken and written) is mandatory; Finnish and additional European languages, even at a basic level, are an advantage
  • Basic IT networking knowledge, with the ability to support system integration.
  • Electrical or electronic background, providing a solid foundation for technical problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with automation, integration, networks, and/or AV equipment is desirable but not essential.
