Job summary

Comat is seeking an experienced electrical harness technician to manufacture, assemble and inspect spacecraft harnesses for satellite platforms. You will interpret complex schematics, work autonomously from engineering documentation, and ensure high quality and traceability in a cleanroom environment.

Required five years of experience in satellite harness fabrication and integration, with solid knowledge of ECSS/ESA standards and soldering/crimping techniques.

Qualifications

• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, harness drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Manufacture, assemble, and inspect spacecraft electrical harnesses incl. wire preparation, crimping, soldering, connector assembly, shielding and harness dressing.
• Perform electrical testing, continuity checks, and quality inspections per space/aerospace standards.
• Integrate platform and payload harnesses within the spacecraft, routing and connecting to equipment.
• Ensure compliance with workmanship, quality, traceability, grounding, bonding and safety requirements.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in satellite or spacecraft electrical harness manufacturing and integration.
• Mandatory: proven cleanroom experience.
• Strong knowledge of ESA, ECSS, IPC/WHMA-A-620 or equivalent standards.
• Experience with crimping, soldering, shield termination, connector assembly and harness integration.
• Read and interpret complex electrical schematics and harness drawings.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, harness drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
• Manufacture, assemble, and inspect spacecraft electrical harnesses including wire preparation, crimping, soldering, connector assembly, shielding, and harness dressing.
• Perform electrical testing, continuity checks, and quality inspections in accordance with space and aerospace standards.
• Integrate platform and payload harnesses within the spacecraft, including routing, securing, and connecting harnesses to onboard equipment and subsystems.
• Ensure compliance with applicable workmanship, quality, traceability, grounding, bonding, and safety requirements throughout all manufacturing and integration activities.
