Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Finland is seeking a Service Project Manager to join our Service Business Unit. You will oversee maintenance and service activities, lead on-site reviews, and actively support field maintenance with a focus on delivering reliable service outcomes.

In this hybrid role, you will travel within Finland, participate in regular customer meetings, project reviews, and coordinate with the sales and service teams to establish long-term customer relationships.

The opportunity

We are looking for a Service Project Manager to join our Service Business Unit at Hitachi Energy in Finland. In this role, you will work in a hybrid setup, combining remote work, office-based work, and regularly site visits. You will oversee maintenance and service activities, review work on-site, and, when required, take an active role in leading and supporting maintenance work in the field. Regular customer meetings, project reviews, and stakeholder communication are also key aspects of the position.

The primary location for this role is Lappeenranta, Vaasa, or Vantaa, although other locations in Finland may be considered based on the candidate's qualifications. Travel is primarily within Finland.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Managing service agreements with customers.
• Providing sales and maintenance services related to power distribution in cooperation with Service Sales.
• Acting as Project Manager for service projects.
• Providing high-end specialist services.
• Establishing long-term customer relationships by understanding customers' needs and demonstrating in-depth technical service solutions knowledge.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring a seamless and positive customer experience.
• Building trust and maintaining sustainable relationships with customers by handling and coordinating warranty jobs, ensuring continuous communication and connecting them with our sales team.

Your background

• B.Sc. in electrical engineering and relevant experience with power systems or other suitable education and vast experience with power systems.
• Service oriented person with solution-oriented approach.
• Basic IT skills as well as the ability to learn modernengineering applications.
• High integrity and a strong “safety first” mindset.
• Experience from power system service / maintenance.
• Electrical Qualification Level 1, or eligibility to obtain the required certification is an advantage.
• Understanding power quality, relay protection and communication is an advantage.
• Understanding the basics of substation design is seen as an advantage.
• Knowledge of commercial contracts is an advantage.
• Excellent written and spoken skills in Finnish. Basic skills in English.
• Quality-focused, customer-oriented team player who iswilling to commit to long-term objectives and development.
• Valid driver’s license.
