Job summary

Lokki Henkilöstöpalvelut Oy is seeking a Senior Verification Engineer to support development and validation of advanced power electronics for industrial drive technology. The role is on-site in Helsinki, offering hands-on testing and rigorous validation before products are released to the market.

You will execute verification, validation, and type testing, build test environments, document results, and troubleshoot hardware and software performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Experience in testing, commissioning, installation, or validation of frequency converters or power electronics.
• Hands-on testing approach with strong problem-solving skills.

Job description

For our client, we are looking for a Senior Verification Engineer to support the development and validation of advanced power electronics solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work hands-on with next-generation industrial drive technology, testing and validating products before they are released to the market.

Note! This application is only for individuals already residing in Finland, and relocation is not possible.

Responsibilities

• Execute verification, validation, R&D, and type testing activities for new power electronics products
• Build and configure test environments, perform measurements, and document test results
• Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis related to hardware and software performance
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams, certification specialists, and external stakeholders
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing methods and laboratory practices

Requirements

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Experience in testing, commissioning, installation, or validation of frequency converters, industrial drives, power electronics, or automation systems
• Strong technical problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to testing
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Fluent Finnish and English language skills
• Willingness to travel occasionally
• Proactive and self-driven working style

Considered an Advantage

• Experience with frequency converter design, control systems, or power electronics development
• Knowledge of PLCs and industrial automation systems
• EMC testing experience
• Familiarity with product safety standards and certification processes
• Previous experience training, mentoring, or coaching colleagues
