Job summary

ABB Oy's High Power division in Helsinki seeks a Senior Verification Engineer to join the team. You will perform R&D and type tests on frequency converters, build test setups, and work closely with design teams and authorities to verify hardware and software performance.

The role requires a Master or Bachelor in Electrical Engineering, experience with frequency converters, EMC testing, and PLCs, with Finnish and English language skills and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in testing of frequency converters or related systems.
• Knowledge of frequency converter design and control, PLCs and process automation, EMC testing.

Responsibilities

• Execute R&D and type tests for new frequency converters.
• Build test setups, execute and report tests.
• Support problem solving of frequency converter hardware and software issues.
• Collaborate with design teams, approval engineers and authorities.
