Job summary

Eaton in Vantaa, Finland is seeking a UPS Field Service Engineer to diagnose, troubleshoot and support 3-phase UPS systems on-site. You will train local engineers, assist installations and contribute to knowledge bases and product support.

Responsibilities

• Provide first class technical support to local and regional field service engineers.
• Lead troubleshooting and take corrective actions in challenging field incidents.
• Report field findings to the Quality organization.
• Run service trainings for FSEs and ASPs (onsite, remote and E-Learning).
• Assist with installation, configuration and start-up of UPS systems.
• Create and maintain a comprehensive service knowledge base and technical documentation.
• Participate in new product development projects as voice of customer.
• Coordinate with factory teams for technical and product support.

What you’ll do:

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues with 3-phase UPS systems.
• Provide first class technical support to local and regional field service engineers in their daily activities
• Manage and lead troubleshooting and take corrective actions in challenging field incidents
• Report to Quality organization of field findings
• Run service trainings for FSEs and ASPs, including onsite, remote and E Learning trainings
• Assist FSEs and customers with the installation, configuration and start-up of UPS systems
• Improve the content and quality of service trainings
• Create and maintain a comprehensive service knowledge base, technical documentation, field service bulletins and service guides
• Participate new product development projects as a voice of customer and provide field service perspective
• Give service related input to other stakeholders, for instance Engineering and Sales Support
• Contribute to the zero-incident culture supporting safety of field service engineers through instructions and training
• Coordinate with the factory teams located in other countries for technical and product support

Qualifications:

• University degree
• Solid experience in Electrical and/or Electronic industry

Skills:

• Technical knowledge on power electronics and/or three phase electrical systems and solutions. Experience on UPS technologies. Basic computer and IT skills.
• Strong work ethic, Communication and interpersonal skills, Problem-Solving Skills, Teamwork, Adaptability
• Positive attitude in customer service
