Job summary

Eaton Corporation in Vantaa, Finland is seeking a seasoned procurement and project management professional to lead supplier strategy, onboarding, and performance improvement across global partners.

You will guide outsourcing decisions, manage transitions between in-house and external partners, and collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in project management. Preferably on outsourcing and procurement management.
• Master or Bachelor level on appropriate science

What you’ll do:

Supplier Strategy & Management

• Develop and execute supplier and outsourcing strategies aligned with company growth plans
• Onboard new suppliers and contract manufacturers according to category strategies
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and partners
• Monitor supplier performance (quality, cost, delivery, capacity) and drive continuous improvement

Outsourcing & Make-or-Buy Decisions

• Lead make-or-buy analyses and outsourcing decisions according to gate-model approach
• Define and implement outsourcing frameworks to support business scaling
• Manage the transition of production from in-house to external partners (and vice versa)
• Ensure proper knowledge transfer and industrialization processes

Project Leadership

• Lead cross-functional projects related to supplier transitions, outsourcing initiatives, and supply chain optimization
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, procurement, and quality teams

Risk & Performance Management

• Identify potential supply risks and implement mitigation strategies
• Drive supplier performance improvements through KPIs and structured reviews
• Ensure compliance with contractual agreements, quality standards, and regulatory requirements

Cost & Efficiency Optimization

• Drive cost reduction initiatives through supplier negotiations and process improvements
• Optimize supply base footprint to support scalability and flexibility
• Support long-term capacity planning with suppliers

Qualifications:

• Several years of experience in project management. Preferably on outsourcing and procurement management.
• Master or Bachelor level on appropriate science
