Job summary
Nokia is seeking a senior technology standards patent specialist to join a global team. You will manage Nokia’s leading 5G/6G standard essential patent portfolio and work closely with inventors and standards delegates to identify and protect high-value inventions, from ideation to charting and beyond.
You will collaborate with patent associates to create high-quality patents and contribute to patent prosecution and monetization.
Qualifications
- PhD in telecommunications or MSc with substantial research.
- Experience in patenting and understanding patent processes.
- Hands-on experience in invention evaluation and claim charting.
- Knowledge of 5G and/or 6G, and 3GPP processes, with expertise in at least one area (physical-layer design or radio protocols).
- Proactive approach with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with AI tools used in patenting/standards research.
Responsibilities
- Work with inventors to enable high-value 5G/6G invention disclosures and filing decisions.
- Claim charting to 5G/6G specifications and value assessment of patent families.
- Promote a culture of innovation by collaborating with inventors and patent associates.
