Job summary

Nokia is seeking a highly qualified Patent Specialist to drive the 5G/6G standard essential patent portfolio. You will collaborate with inventors and 3GPP delegates to identify, protect and chart claims, while coordinating with patent associates to file top-quality patents.

The role emphasizes strategic impact, global team collaboration, and growth within Nokia's innovation ecosystem in Finland.

Qualifications

PhD in telecommunications or MSc with substantial research experience.
Professional experience in patenting and understanding patent processes.
Good knowledge of 5G and/or 6G systems and 3GPP processes.
Hands-on experience in invention evaluation and claim charting.
Proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Familiarity with AI tools used in patenting.

Responsibilities

Work with inventors to enable high value 5G and 6G invention disclosures in your technology area and evaluate disclosures.
Conduct claim charting to 5G/6G specs and perform value assessments of patent families.
Promote a culture of innovation and collaboration with inventors and patent associates.
