Job summary

Nokia Technology Standards is seeking a patent professional to join a world-class in-house patent team. You will draft and prosecute patent applications essential to 3GPP standards, collaborating with inventors and external attorneys to build Nokia's SEP portfolio.

The role emphasizes evaluating filings, developing prosecution strategies, and contributing to development and pilot activities. A Master’s degree in a technical field and relevant patent experience in telecom are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication, Computer Science, Physics/Mathematics, or equivalent field.
• Experience with telecom and computer-implemented patent applications and prosecution thereof.
• Qualified European Patent attorney or passed multiple papers of European Qualifying Examination or US Patent Attorney/Agent.

Responsibilities

• Draft standard‑related patent applications inhouse and with external patent attorneys.
• Prosecute globally the patent applications inhouse and with external patent attorneys.
• Evaluate filed patent applications on a regular basis, including reviewing claim charts and evaluating patent validity to plan and execute the best prosecution strategies.
