VTT is seeking a Research Scientist or Senior Scientist to advance hydrometallurgical research in the Metals and Materials Recovery team. You will plan experiments, develop concepts from desktop studies to pilot-scale validation, and collaborate with customers to tailor practical solutions.

Your work integrates experimental research with techno-economic assessments, enabling informed decision-making and project progression in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment at Espoo's Circular Raw

Qualifikationen

• Master's or PhD in hydrometallurgy with research or industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of hydrometallurgical unit processes, leaching to recovery.
• Experience in designing and conducting experimental research.

Aufgaben

• Plan, conduct and interpret hydrometallurgical experiments.
• Develop process concepts from desktop studies to lab testing and pilot-scale validation.
• Coordinate with customers and multidisciplinary teams to translate needs into research questions.
• Apply techno-economic assessments to support concept development and decisions.
• Support public and customer-funded project proposals and direct sales efforts.
• Ensure safe, high-quality research practices and effective communication of results.
