Job summary

Uneek Global in Helsinki is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial delivery on major Data Centre projects. You will manage budgets, forecasts and subcontractor packages, reporting variances and driving contract compliance across a major project team in Finland.

The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying or related field with six+ years of contractor-side experience and strong cost control, reporting and negotiation skills. Finnish knowledge is beneficial but not essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
• Six+ years of Quantity Surveying or commercial management experience.
• Strong contractor-side commercial experience.
• Experience managing subcontract packages through full lifecycle.
• Good understanding of cost control, forecasting and reporting.
• Experience with variations, claims, and final accounts.
• English fluency; Finnish language skills are advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial delivery of major construction projects and packages.
• Monitor budgets, costs, forecasts and overall commercial performance.
• Report costs vs estimates and address variances.
• Manage subcontractors from procurement to final account.
• Review tender and contract docs for risks and opportunities.
• Handle variations, claims, and change-control processes.
• Prepare EOT notifications and supporting docs.
• Ensure subcontracts reflect scope and contractual requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams to meet contractual obligations.
• Produce commercial reports on progress, risks and solutions.
• Develop relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
• Mentor junior commercial team members.
• Provide proactive commercial and contractual advice throughout project delivery.
