Job summary

atNorth is actively seeking a Commercial Project Engineer/Commercial Manager to oversee the financial and contractual aspects of our data center development projects. The role focuses on efficiency, cost control, and contractual compliance across international initiatives.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, or Business and 5+ years in commercial management, preferably in large-scale infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial management, preferably in construction or infrastructure; large scale projects.
• Strong expertise in budget preparation, cost control, and procurement processes with projects.
• Proven track record in managing complex contracts, claims, and variations.
• Analytical and meticulous mindset with an independent approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a proactive, diplomatic style.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Finnish.
• Background check is conducted to all our employees.

Responsibilities

• Oversee budget preparation and financial oversight for data center infrastructure projects.
• Support with contract negotiations and ensure compliance across all development phases.
• Lead claims management, variations, and the processing of payment applications.
• Collaborate closely with procurement, project management, and construction teams.
• Proactively identify financial risks and implement robust mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project costs and supplier agreements to drive cost optimization.
• Provide commercial leadership and financial discipline to maximize project profitability.
• Drive commercial discussions and ensure all agreements align with atNorth’s strategic goals.
