Job summary

Neste in Porvoo, Finland, is seeking a (Senior) Process Development Engineer to support continuous improvement of renewable fuels processes. In this role, you will develop safe, feasible process concepts, perform design, modelling or techno-economical evaluations, and lead projects within the Renewables Processes team.

You will collaborate with a global network of engineers and R&D specialists, contribute to SAF production growth, and participate in digitalization and AI driven initiatives while

Qualifications

• MSc in Chemical Engineering required for the role.
• Experience in process engineering within oil refining, petrochemicals or chemicals is expected.
• Knowledge of thermochemical conversion, catalytic processes or bioprocesses is advantageous.
• Understanding of process design activities (material/energy balances, equipment sizing).
• Interest in digitalization and AI applications is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide subject-matter (technical) expertise to development initiatives, troubleshooting, projects, or act as task coordinator.
• Contribute to early-phase concept creation and process design through to later project stages.
• Support R&D in experiment and pilot testing design.
• Collaborate with a global network of process engineers, R&D specialists, modeling experts, and engineering disciplines to achieve Neste’s goals.
