Job summary

Sandvik AB in Turku is seeking a Senior Power Unit Engineer to lead the power unit systems for underground mining machines at our Turku site. You will define the architecture, oversee emissions compliance, and collaborate with suppliers to deliver reliable power unit solutions.

You will mentor other engineers, contribute to technology roadmaps, and support cross-functional teams with technical leadership. Partial remote work is available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
• Extensive power unit/engine experience for mobile equipment.
• Strong system-level understanding of internal combustion engines.
• Fluent Finnish and English.

Responsibilities

• Own power unit system definition and architecture across lifecycle.
• Develop power unit solutions with suppliers for performance and emissions.
• Lead validation, testing, and problem solving; drive improvements.
• Collaborate across disciplines and travel to sites as needed.
• Mentor other engineers and shape technology roadmaps.
