Job summary

Collen construction is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the project management team on an upcoming data centre project in Finland. You will oversee MEP costings, tender documents, and cost control, ensuring commercial accuracy from feasibility to handover.

The role requires a 3rd level qualification in Surveying, at least five years in a similar role, and thorough knowledge of mechanical and electrical works packages.

Qualifications

• 3rd level qualification in Surveying is required.
• Minimum 5 years in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of costings for Mechanical & Electrical works.
• Experience with large-scale data centres is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the administration and change order process for MEP packages.
• Ensure all changes are captured with costings assessed and validated before issuing to Design Team/Client.
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with project team/Client.
• Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance work.
• Assist in establishing client requirements and feasibility studies.
• Perform risk, value management and cost control.
• Advise on procurement strategy.
• Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks.
• Prepare and analyse costings for tenders.
• Allocate work to subcontractors.
• Provide advice on contractual claims.
• Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports.
• Value completed work and arrange payments.
• Maintain awareness of current building contracts and health and safety regulations.
